Ruby M. Nourse, 91, of West Stockbridge

Ruby was born in Lee on July 13,1924, daughter to John and Lena (Lasher) Wheeler. She was educated in Lee Schools.

Ruby M.  Nourse, 91, of West Stockbridge died Thursday March 31,2016 at Mount Greylock  Skilled  Nursing Facility in Pittsfield, Mass., where she had resided for the last five weeks.

Ruby was born in Lee on July 13,1924, daughter to John and Lena (Lasher) Wheeler. She was educated in Lee Schools.

Ruby’s Husband, Howard E. Nourse Sr. whom she married on November 5, 1942 in the Methodist Parsonage in Lee, predeceased her on October 29, 1991. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Kandy.

Ruby is survived by one son Howard Nourse Jr. of Dalton; three daughters, Linda DiVirgilio of West Stockbridge, Nancy Carpenter of West Stockbridge and Winifred Nourse of Sarasota, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In keeping with Ruby’s wishes there are no services. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Ruby’s memory may be made to Berkshire Humane Society in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
